About the ship

Carnival Luminosa is one of Carnival Cruise Line's new ships in the fleet, originally part of Costa Cruises. The 2009 ship offers a wealth of activities and facilities, so you're guaranteed an action-packed holiday when you sail with Carnival Luminosa.

Life on board
If you love swimming, the facilities on board the Carnival Luminosa are for you. The cruise ship is equipped with three different pools, sauna, Turkish bath, solarium and a huge spa area. For example, enjoy the sun deck from one of the many sun loungers and take a dip in the large outdoor pool.

The impressive sports deck on board Carnival Luminosa includes a running track with sea views as far as the eye can see and plenty of opportunities to get active in the ship's modern and well-equipped fitness centre. The fitness centre is located in the 3,500 m2 spa area, Cloud 9 Spa, which also offers a wide range of luxurious spa treatments to benefit both body and soul.

At Carnival Luminosa, there's always something to experience. Sit back and enjoy a unique movie experience under the stars in the outdoor cinema, have a laugh in the Comedy Club, sing along to all-time hits in the Piano Bar or watch great performances in the theatre. Great entertainment awaits you every day!

Flavours and tastes
Carnival Luminosa has a wide range of restaurants offering culinary experiences for every taste. For example, you can create your own plate of your favourites in the buffet restaurant or sit down and enjoy the a la carte restaurant. You can also experience Carnival favourites like the speciality restaurant Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse at an additional cost.

Cabins and suites
The ship's cabins and suites are decorated with comfortable interiors in vibrant colours. Whether you choose an interior cabin or a Grand Suite with a private balcony, you're guaranteed a comfortable stay. All cabin types are equipped with at least a TV, telephone, private bathroom with shower and toilet, make-up/work desk with mirror, hairdryer, air conditioning and safety box.
