{{port.title}}

Puerto Baquerizo is a picturesque port town situated in the southwest of Isla de San Cristobal. Founded in the mid-19th century by General Villamil Playas, the town takes its name from President Alfredo Baquerizo, who was the first president to visit this charming city.

A short ten-minute walk from the town leads you to Playa Mann Beach, an idyllic spot to savor the water, soak up the sun, observe sea lions, or simply enjoy a refreshing drink with a splendid view. For the more adventurous, El Barranco Cliff offers an enticing hike with stunning vistas and a rich birdlife. Along your trek, you'll encounter numerous lava lizards and marine iguanas that call the rocks and cliffs home.

Climate
The Galápagos Islands, located on the equator, can be visited year-round. There are two distinct seasons. The warmest period falls between December and May, characterized by abundant sunshine and clear skies. The slightly cooler season occurs from June to November due to southerly winds, which bring the cold ocean current of the Humboldt Current northward, resulting in cooler sea temperatures.
