Ecuador - Galapagos - Isla Santa Cruz - Los Gemelos

Los Gemelos, also known as the Twin Craters, is situated in the central part of Isla Santa Cruz in the Galápagos Islands. This area is characterized by cultivated farmland and extensive forests, which provide habitat for the iconic giant tortoises and Darwin's finches. The two craters are separated by a road, allowing visitors to drive through them before embarking on one of the beautiful hiking trails leading to scenic viewpoints.

Climate
The Galápagos Islands, located on the equator, can be visited year-round. There are two distinct seasons. The warmest season occurs from December to May, characterized by high sunshine and clear skies. The slightly cooler season falls between June and November due to southerly winds, which bring the cold ocean current of the Humboldt Current northward, resulting in colder sea temperatures.
