The American city of Anchorage is located in the state of Alaska and has approx. 290,000 inhabitants the largest city in the state. The city is located in the middle of the coastal Chugah Mountains, which is a fantastically beautiful place with the possibility of sightseeing excursions to the large fjords at Prince William Sound, or in the winter months skiing or dog sledding.

Worth seeing
Prince William Sound there is a large body of water off Anchorage, where it is possible to go on small sightseeing cruises, from where you can view the incomprehensible beautiful glaciers and the rich wildlife.
Depending on how much time you have, it is possible to go on hikes, arctic bike tours, fishing trips or skiing in the countryside around Anchorage. All in all, there are good opportunities to get out and experience some of the world's most beautiful nature.  

Climate
Despite its northern location, June, July and August have the possibility of getting temperatures around 20 -25 degrees, but it can also be slightly cooler around 15 degrees. Winters get really cold with sub-zero temperatures.
