Hong Kong, although slightly smaller than the Danish island of Lolland, is home to over 7 million people, surpassing the entire population of Denmark. Positioned as an international economic powerhouse off the southern coast of China, Hong Kong has been a favored destination and trading center for European sailors and business travelers for centuries. The city seamlessly blends Eastern traditions with Western influences, creating a dynamic and vibrant cultural landscape.

Worth seeing
Hong Kong offers a plethora of possibilities, showcasing its diverse and international history through statues, buildings, bustling streets, markets, food, and even its own Disneyland. With a high skyline dominated by towering skyscrapers, the city is a bustling metropolis that deserves exploration over multiple visits.

One iconic vantage point is The Peak, the highest point reaching 552 meters above sea level. Formerly a natural command post for incoming cargo ships in the 19th century, it now serves as a popular spot for both residents and tourists seeking respite from Hong Kong's summer heat. From The Sky Terrace at 428 meters above sea level, visitors can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the cityscape and serene green landscapes. Accessible from the Peak Tram Lower Terminus, it offers a unique perspective on the city.

Climate
Hong Kong's location just north of the equator gives it a humid subtropical climate. The city experiences warm temperatures throughout the year, with January being the coldest month, and the temperature rarely falling below 14 degrees. The summer months of July and August are characterized by high humidity, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. The rainy season typically lasts from June to September.
