Day 2 – Hong Kong | City contrasts and historic harbor environment

Overnight stay at a 4* centrally located hotel in Hong Kong

Arrival in Hong Kong, which over more than 150 years has developed from a small fishing port into one of Asia’s most important trade and financial centers. The long period as a British colony has left its mark on the city and contributed to the unique blend of Chinese culture and international metropolis. Hong Kong is known for its impressive skyline and its busy harbor, which is considered one of the most active in the world. There is an opportunity to experience the city from the water on a traditional sampan boat tour, offering a different insight into harbor life and the contrast between old traditions and modern city. It's also possible to take the historic Peak Tram to Victoria Peak, from where there is a magnificent view of the skyline, harbor, and surrounding islands. Alternatively, the time can be spent exploring the city’s many neighborhoods, experiencing local markets and street life, or enjoying the atmosphere along the harbor promenade.

Day 3 – Continued experiences in Hong Kong

Overnight stay at a 4* centrally located hotel in Hong Kong

The day provides the opportunity to explore even more sides of Hong Kong and delve further into the city’s diversity. You may visit temples like Man Mo Temple, enjoy the city’s green spaces in Hong Kong Park, or take a ride on the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour. Alternatively, the day can be used for an excursion to Lantau Island to visit the Tian Tan Buddha and the Ngong Ping Plateau, or for shopping in areas like Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, or in the lively street quarters with markets and local atmosphere.

Day 4 – Hong Kong | Embarkation

There is time for final experiences in Hong Kong before boarding the Celebrity Solstice in the afternoon. After departure, the ship slowly sails out through Victoria Harbour with views of Hong Kong’s impressive skyline, before setting course toward the South China Sea. The departure marks the beginning of the cruise and provides an opportunity to enjoy the evening onboard while the city fades into the horizon and the journey toward Vietnam begins.

Day 5 – At sea

The cruise is now in full swing, and the day at sea offers a chance to settle in on the Celebrity Solstice. It's a good day to explore the ship and get to know the facilities at a relaxed pace. Onboard, you can visit various public areas, take a leisurely stroll on the decks, or enjoy ocean views from one of the lounges. The day can also be spent on light activities, a visit to the spa area, or simply relaxing and enjoying the comfortable atmosphere onboard.

Day 6 – Halong Bay (Hanoi), Vietnam

Beautiful sailing into Halong Bay, considered one of Vietnam’s most iconic natural areas and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to local legend, the area was created by a dragon descending from the sky and shaping the bay with its tail – a story that remains part of the area’s cultural heritage.

The day offers the option for an excursion to Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, which boasts over a thousand years of history and has played a major role in the country's cultural and political development. You can explore the Old Quarter with its narrow streets and lively trade, visit temples and pagodas, or see buildings from the French colonial era, which reflect the city's historical layers. The ship remains docked overnight.
