In 2014, Norwegian Cruise Line welcomed a new member to their Breakaway-class Norwegian Getaway. The impressive cruise ship Norwegian Getaway is the sister ship to Norwegian Breakaway. Life on board

Norwegian Getaway offers a wealth of activities and entertainment in a class of its own. In fact, there are so many options that you'll have to manage your time if you want to see it all. The modern cruise ship features five whirlwind waterslides that stretch across several decks in the popular water park. On board Norwegian Getaway, there's also plenty of opportunity to float in one of several pools. You can also soak in one of the relaxing jacuzzies with ocean views as far as the eye can see. There's also the chance to challenge yourself on the climbing wall or balance 20 meters above the deck on a nerve-wracking line. Enjoy a relaxing break in the well-stocked outdoor bar or settle into the impressive theatre room.  Another highlight of Norwegian Getaway is the spectacular Waterfront, which consists of a 400-meter-long outdoor promenade. Here you'll find a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Enjoy the amenities and stunning ocean views all at once.

Taste experiences

Norwegian Getaway offers 16 restaurants, six of which are included in the price. These restaurants include a buffet and three a la carte restaurants offering something for everyone, as well as a selection of small cafés offering a variety of snacks and, of course, the popular O'Sheehan's Bar & Grill, which is open 24 hours a day. This Irish Pub-style sports café offers fish n' chips and is the last stop for many after a night at the disco before bedtime.

There's also the option to invite friends and/or family to one of the specialty restaurants, where you can choose from everything from French - to Japanese-inspired dishes, don't deprive yourself of a visit to the Teppanyaki restaurant where the chef cooks while he entertains, or a light lunch snack at The Raw Bar. Specialty restaurants are available at an additional cost.

Cabins and suites

However you choose to travel, Norwegian Getaway offers the right solution. Common to all cabins and suites is the pleasant interior and comfortable beds. Whether you choose an inside cabin or a luxurious suite in the Haven area, a good night's sleep is guaranteed.

The largest Haven cabins can accommodate up to 6 people. Regular cabins generally accommodate 4 people, except for the exterior family cabin with window, which can accommodate a maximum of 5 people. However, several cabins have doors in between, so it is possible to put 2 cabins together.

All cabins are at least equipped with air conditioning, minibar, safety box, hairdryer, TV, etc.
