Located in southern Oman along the Arabian Sea, Salalah is home to just under 200,000 residents. It is the country’s second-largest city and the birthplace of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. The city and surrounding region are renowned for the annual Khareef season, a tropical monsoon that transforms the landscape into a lush, green oasis. This unique phenomenon is celebrated with a major annual festival that attracts visitors from around the world.
