Stornoway, a small town with around 9,000 inhabitants, is situated in north-west Scotland on the Na h-Eileanan an Iar archipelago, also known as the Outer Hebrides. Despite its modest population, Stornoway serves as a hub for the small towns in the archipelago, providing the only place with a proper business environment, featuring shops, restaurants, and bars. Additionally, the city boasts a few noteworthy museums and attractions, including Lews Castle.

Lews Castle: Built in 1847–57 by the merchant James Matheson, the castle played a role as a base during the Second World War.
