Hero of the Seas is an impressive Icon Class ship from Royal Caribbean, where experiences for the whole family are at the center. On board, you will find a wide range of activities, entertainment, and facilities that create the perfect setting for both relaxation and experiences at sea.
Life on board
Hero of the Seas offers plenty of activities for both children and adults. On board, you will find Category 6, one of the largest waterparks at sea with six waterslides, including two family raft slides and the first funnel raft slide at sea. Here, the whole family can enjoy thrilling experiences and try out the many slides.
For adventure seekers, Crown’s Edge also awaits, where you move through an obstacle course that extends over the edge of the ship. In addition, you can challenge yourself on the FlowRider surf simulator, the climbing wall, the sports court, or a round of mini golf. There are therefore plenty of opportunities to stay active from morning to evening.
Hero of the Seas offers a total of nine pools and one of the largest pool areas at sea. There is space for both relaxation and fun for the whole family. At The Hideaway, you will find an adults-only area with two pools, infinity views, and one of the largest swim-up bars at sea. Swim & Tonic offers a relaxed atmosphere in the water with plenty of space to enjoy the sun. For children, Splashaway Bay is a popular gathering spot with water cannons, two tipping buckets, 12 water jets, waterslides, and an area for the youngest guests.
Dining experiences
On Hero of the Seas, there are 28 dining venues, 16 of which are included. This provides great variety throughout the journey – from quick meals to more atmospheric dinners. You can dine at AquaDome Market, visit Surfside, or enjoy classics such as Sorrento’s. In addition, there are restaurants like Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and Izumi Hibachi & Sushi.
For a special experience, you can visit the Orleans Parish Supper Club, where Cajun and Creole-inspired dishes are combined with music. Royal Railway offers a unique dining experience where live entertainment and gastronomy come together. Cooking classes are also available on board, where families can cook together.
Cabins and suites
Hero of the Seas offers cabins and suites to suit different needs, whether you are traveling as a couple, a family, or simply want extra space. Among the most unique options is the Ultimate Family Treehouse, which spans three decks and features a rooftop terrace with a private whirlpool, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and balconies, as well as a separate area for teenagers with a game room. Other options include Surfside Family Suites with a cozy children’s area, the three-level Ultimate Family Townhouse with its own slide and private access to Surfside, and the Family Infinite Ocean View Balcony, where children have their own separate sleeping area.
